Carmichael Centre is home to 47 resident charities. From organisations focused on supporting people in the Dublin area to those whose reach extends nationwide, a diverse range of organisations is represented within the centre. As many of the charities are supporting people living in different parts of Ireland, Carmichael Centre has developed over the years into an integral and national resource for the Community and Voluntary Sector.

Charities chose to become part of the centre for many reasons:

• To avail of low cost office space and facilities in a central Dublin location.

• To build and enhance their organisational capacity by accessing shared services such as: reception, administration, direct mailing, IT support, payroll services, accountancy services, governance advice and support, training support, operational advice, strategic planning support and human resources advice.

• To avail of meeting rooms and catering facilities for both small scale meetings and large scale meeting events accommodating up to 50 people.

• To work in an environment where they can network with and build friendships with people working and operating in the community and voluntary sector.

• To customise the nature and extent of the supports they receive in line with their strategic aims and financial capabilities.

• To be part of a nurturing environment where they can build their charities in accordance with their beneficiaries needs.

Carmichael Centre has become the largest shared services centre in Ireland because of its supportive and professional approach to service delivery. It is also a reflection of the real benefits that resident members obtain in being part of the centre.

Aside from becoming a resident member of Carmichael Centre, charities may also opt to receive an array of benefits by becoming non-resident Associate Members. Associate Membership is available to community and voluntary groups located anywhere in Ireland.
