Frank Walsh - Chairperson

Born in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and educated at the local CBS and at UCD. Frank was employed for a few years as a Secondary Teacher in Synge Street and the Domincan College in Cabra. He joined the AnCO / FAS Services to Business division in the 1970’s and remained until his retirement in 2010.

During his working career he served on the Dublin Regional Authority, Dublin Employment Pact, Dublin Enterprise Board and the Board of FAS as a staff elected member. Frank served as Chairman of the Portmarnock Community Association, of the Portmarnock Sports and Leisure Centre and of the FAS Credit Union. Frank also gave periods of service to his Golf Club in various officer positions.

Evelyn Griffith

Evelyn qualified as a Nurse in 1997 and worked in Oncology. Evelyn has been working for CanTeen Ireland for 7 years now as the Group Coordinator. She answers to the Steering Committee which consists of 10 CanTeen Members and 4 Volunteer Leaders. Canteen have weekend's away, day support meetings and produce a biannual newsletter, as well as age appropriate information about cancer. Evelyn's role is to organise all of the activities, participate on weekends away, keep accounts and organise some fundraising activities. CanTeen also has a Winter Ball which along with some of the leaders Evelyn organises.

Aidan Leavy

Aidan Leavy is currently Director of International Service Ireland (ISI), a post he has held since June 2007. A graduate in social sciences, Aidan has extensive experience in local and international development at grassroots and management level. Before joining ISI, he spent 9 years working with indigenous Mayan organisations, local authorities and community groups in Central America. He first worked with the Agency for Personnel Services Overseas (APSO) and was an Organisational Capacity Builder with the Mayan Chorti tribe in Honduras post-hurricane Mitch and later worked as Coordinator of the United Nations Volunteer (UNV) programme.

Peter McDevitt - Treasurer

Peter McDevitt is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and has a BA in Accounting and Finance from DCU. Peter's current role is as Chief Financial Officer of Self Help Africa, an international development NGO based in Portlaoise. In the non-profit sector, Peter has previously worked with GOAL and Gorta and is a voluntary director of Show Racism the Red Card, a member organisation of CCVG. In the private sector Peter has worked in financial management roles in FTI (a treasury consulting firm based in the IFSC) and ESB International.

Sheila Nordon

Sheila Nordon is Executive Director of ICTR, a leadership organization working on behalf of charities to enhance the conditions for a vibrant and independent charity sector in Ireland.
In her current role, she is responsible for promoting policy changes and government initiatives of benefit to charities; developing and maintaining relationships with government Ministers, key officials and politicians of all parties; liaison with key supporters and influencers; organizing and managing research and education projects and providing membership support.
In addition to serving as Executive Director of ICTR, a role that she has been in for 10 years, Sheila has more than 15 years experience working for the community and voluntary sector in Ireland. Sheila also serves on the boards of Philanthropy Ireland, the Social Finance Foundation and Irish Nonprofit Knowledge Exchange (INKEx).

Liam O'Sullivan

Liam O'Sullivan works as the Executive Director in Care Alliance Ireland, the National Network of Voluntary Organisations supporting Family Carers. He holds professional qualifications in Social Work, Youth and Community Work, and Social Research and has recently completed the Stronger Leaders programme for managers in the voluntary and community sector. He is the Treasurer and a Board Member of Eurocarers, the European wide umbrella organisation for Family Carer organisations. He worked in both the statutory and voluntary sectors prior to joining Care Alliance in 2004 and has lectured on a part-time basis in a number of third level institutions. Liam is from Dublin and continues to live there with his family.

Patricia Towey

Patricia Towey is the Director of Information and Administration for The Huntington's Disease Association of Ireland (HDAI) since 2001. HDAI provides support and information to people affected by Huntington's disease. Patricia holds a degree in Business Studies from University of North London and an MSc in Equality Studies from UCD. Patricia is Treasurer of the Genetic and Rare Disorders Organisation.

Keith Adams

Married with 2 teenage children, Keith Adams has spent 31 years in the financial services industry both in Ireland and overseas. His range of experience covers such areas as HR, Project & Change Management.
As well as being a director of the PA foundation another charitable body, Keith recently spent two years on secondment with an Irish NGO providing Head office support in the areas of HR, IT & Facilities management as well as delivering policy change and strategic support.
Keith holds a degree in Financial Services with UCD and also an Msc. (Mgt) in Organisational behaviour with IMI & Trinity College.

Lorna Carney

A founding director of Alchemy Communications, Lorna has worked as a consultant in the communications industry for over 15 years. Having worked in Paris and London she returned to Ireland in 1998 where she was a Client Director and Head of Internal Communications and Training at a large communications agency.

An experienced internal communications strategist, Lorna has worked with on a range of clients including Bank of Ireland, the Department of Environment and Local Government, the Department of an Taoiseach, Irish Cancer Society, O2, Bord Bia and Wyeth BioPharma ( now Pfizer) for whom she carried out projects ranging from developing and implementing internal communications strategies, to communications audits, the management of large announcements and initiatives. Among other projects she has managed were the national and regional launch of the National Spatial Strategy, the development and implementation of an employee communication strategy in support of a major change management initiative at Iarnroid Eireann. Lorna is involved in senior level coaching and is a meember of the Accenture Coaching Panel.

Lorna has a law degree from Oxford University and a Masters in Business Administration from Trinity College, Dublin.
