Trainer: Dr. Sue Newberry has been working for and with disabled and disadvantaged people for the past 20 years – she currently works on fundraising, project management and research and development projects.
She has been a university lecturer for several years in the field of disabilities, IT and Statistics and Research Methodologies. She has acted as a consultant for the European Commission on several occasions. She has managed and developed a range of private companies as well as charities and voluntary sector organisations. Sue is a member of the Chartered Management Institute as well as the Institute of Fundraising. Sue is an approved consultant for NCVO.
Content:
•implement an outcomes-focused approach to managing their organisation
•create a coherent approach from business planning, through monitoring and evaluation of their progress to demonstrating their results.
Outcomes:
By the end of the session participants will have:
• considered the necessary steps for the successful planning within their organisations and how this relates to planning for key stakeholders, project teams, staff and volunteers and individual service users.
• identified ways to improve understanding of and communication between different stakeholders
• developed a practical understanding of how to monitor and evaluate progress at different levels within their organisation and help improve services for individuals, people management, project management and organisational sustainability
• identified the most important ways of using their results and how to make the most of their results to support all of their stakeholders
