Target: Anyone involved in planning and managing projects
Trainer: Tony Murphy has worked in the nonprofit sector in training and senior management positions, and as Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Federation. He now works as a Management Trainer and Organisational Development Consultant. Tony has an MSC in Management.
Content: This course will help participants to ensure that good ideas get a decent chance of being turned into reality. We will begin by looking at the importance of initial project planning, focussing particularly on resource requirements and scheduling. Consideration will be given to outlining the key tasks of the manager in terms of team leadership, division of work and setting project milestones. We will also tackle ways in which difficulties can be anticipated and overcome.
Outcomes: By the end of the course participants will be able to:
Design a project plan, including resources and schedules
Use tools for project planning
Manage, divide and delegate the work to be done
