Public Speaking and Presentation Skills

Event Date: 
Tues 15th May 2012, 10am to 4pm
Trainer: Derek O'Reilly is Training & Support Services Manager with the Carmichael Centre and focuses on coordinating management and leadership training programmes as well as providing support for groups engaged in organisational capacity building and quality assurance development.
Target Audience:
Anyone who needs to deliver presentations to large or small groups.
Content:
Setting objectives for a presentation, communication skills, and planning and designing a presentation. There will be an opportunity for some participants to make a short presentation, followed by supportive and constructive feedback given in an informal and friendly environment.
Outcomes:
By the end of the day you will be able to:
* set clear and specific objectives for a presentation
* understand your audience and how to make an impact on them
* structure your ideas
* deliver a presentation in a confident and easy-to-follow manner
* identify how well the material has been recieved and understood

Carmichael Centre members and associate members €100
Voluntary and Community Groups with no paid staff €100
Voluntary and Community Groups employing staff €120
FÁS project participants, statutory sector staff €140
